Ya now I was watching the news  (KGMB)  and they showed all my good friends ripping bowls, they were pics I had taken that day! All of of a sudden I got all choked up..... I thought about the 15 page spread they did on my surf photos in FREE SURF MAG And I thought about this must be a dream.... 12 years ago I was sitting in a prison cell coming to an end of a stretch of time. I was a hopeless drug addict who saw no light at the end of the tunnel. I had a 8 th grade education and everyone I new disowned me and the others were all dead of drug related deaths. I had 4 felony's and they were threatening to throw the key away. I grew up on Maui where in the 60's I was basically chased home everyday and called a fucking Hoale 10 times a day. I was the only hoale in my class and developed a chip on my shoulder. by the time I was 17 I had a heroin habit and smoked two packs a day. I wrecked everything that was given to me. When I got out of prison I continued my drug usage and got into trouble right off the bat. My P.O was tough and was going to have me locked up for good. After being in and out of at least a dozen treatment centers I finally caught the clue and some how managed to get some time under my belt. I moved from Maui to Oahu about 101/2 years ago. I bought a small video camera and my Mom helped me get a computer. That's where it all started. I haven't used drugs or alcohol or smoked cigs in over 10 years. I'm not a A.A guy or a N.A person But I have lots of friends who go there and there doing great! I still have heaps and loads of mental anguish and big problems, but nothing compares to the hell I put myself thru for 30+ years. When I was doing drugs I weighed in at 170 pounds. I weigh 260 lbs this day! I have put as much effort into Hawaiian water shots as I did chasing drugs therefore I think its success is. Every car..every camera...board comes from Hawaiian Water shots. I love you guys who have supported me thru buying pictures and just saying.... Good job J/B. YOUR A HUGE PART OF THE SUCCESS  H.W.S MAHALO!
